About Dr. Hicks

A native of Georgia, Dr. Hicks earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia State University in 2003 and then graduated dental school from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2009. 

Following dental school, Dr. Hicks completed a two year residency at the University of Kentucky, simultaneously earning a specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master’s of Science Degree in 2011. 

During his pediatric dental residency, Dr. Hicks served as chief resident and received experience working with anxious children, children with special health care needs, sedation dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hicks is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hicks enjoys exercising, fishing, playing golf, and walking his dogs, Abbie and Juno.  He also enjoys traveling and has participated in mission trips all over the world.
